My 36-year-old daughter is looking for Transitional Housing in accordance with her Mental Health Court plan. She is currently in Benton County jail and would need someone to go there to interview her for potential placement. The judge will not release her until she has proven that she is trying to find appropriate housing. Is this something that you can do?

This house in particular is an absolutely toxic house. They do not follow the rules and guidelines set for every oxford house. This house is solely run on the opinions of the senior members of the house. They believe they can implement rules of any kind that they choose and don’t care who it affects. They are verbally abusive, they judge people on medications. If your on suboxen or any kind of benzos or stimulants that are prescribed by your doctor they will gather as a house behind your back to then turn around and vote you and your children out of the house. Or if you tell them your on any kind of meds in your interview, might as well stop the interview right then and there because they will not vote you in. You simply either comply to every word they say or they vote you out. They pretend to like you and be nice to your face, but then turn around and try putting you on a contract within the first week of moving into the house. So they can then vote you out at the next meeting. Chapter has come into this house multiple times and the house members will put on a good show until the chapter members leave and then it’s back to their way or the highway. They protect the members of the house that have been here for a while when it comes to relapsing. They sweep it under the rug and if you try to bring it up they then get verbally aggressive, and all gang up on you. This house is absolutely toxic I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT COME TO THIS HOUSE IN PARTICULAR. It’s absolutely horrible and the members of this house absolutely refuse to change their ways or rules to fit oxfords purpose in the first place. Living here is like living in a hotel with a bunch of people that are using drugs, their behaviors towards new people they don’t like are absolutely ridiculous, and they will run you out, it’s either their way or the highway. They absolutely refuse to hold themselves accountable. If you do end up here good luck, these group of girls are not by any means going to help you in your recovery. In my opinion it’s not worth it, stress or money living in this house. Do yourself a favor and check out other women and children’s houses. This house is not worth it, I promise. As bad as it sounds Living in your car would be a much better solution than living in this house with these girls. Good luck
