Description: PSPRSN was established to provide the type of support that adults with different mental illnesses need to live in the community. We believe that others with a mental illness can provide the best support because they understand the difficulties of day-to
day living. Providing friendship and support separate from a community mental health center allows individuals to feel more like members of the community, and be less dependent on case managers and hospitals. The friendships that are established are not dependent on "being sick" and therefore do not interfere with recovery as mental health service may do.
