As one of the three oldest organizations in the United States offering continuing services to children, St. Joseph's Villa has a rich history of reaching out to children with special needs. Beginning as an orphanage in 1834, the Villa has evolved into a multi-service organization focused on serving children in need and their families through supportive services that empower them to reach their fullest potential. While the services have evolved over time, the Villa remains committed to addressing some of life's most complex issues such as homelessness, poverty, developmental disability, abuse, neglect and educational barriers.
