About Oxford House Virtue

Oxford House Virtue is a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home. This facility accepts men only. Every Oxford house represents an effective and low cost method of preventing relapse. Every month the Oxford houses in the area get together to share their experiences in order to ensure that Oxford House Virtue operates in a way that preserves the good name of Oxford House and encourages more experienced houses to help newer ones.  Residents pay rent, utility and other household expenses of Oxford House Virtue. There are 7 beds in this self-supporting and drug free home. This self-supporting and drug free home is part of a larger nationwide nonprofit organization.

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.

Struggling with alcohol addiction need a safe place to get help. I do work full time. Thanks for your consideration.

My grandson is 17 and will be 18 this august. He is looking for a place to live so he can find work. He has his GED and a welding certificate. He is at a halfway house right now just out of juvenile detention. He is not allowed to come and live with us again. Do you take anyone under 18 years of age? thank you

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees

Many transitional housing locations provide housing on a sliding scale basis. This is generally income based support that charges based on one's ability to pay. We find and list those resources.
