About Harmony House

AWAIC offers transitional housing for women fleeing domestic violence. Harmony House offers low cost housing for up to two years to women making the transition to independent living. It accommodates ten women without dependent children, and is located on the AWAIC property. Administration Hours: Monday - Friday  8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Crisis Center: 24 hours/ 7 days.

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.
