About Elizabeth's Homes Transitional Supportive Housing

Program assists families in transition from homelessness through provision of supportive housing. Catholic Charities provides rent assistance for up to a two year period while providing supportive services to include budgeting, independent living skills/training, etc. Hours Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Program Fees None - however, as part of the program, 30% of the families' monthly income is collected for investment in their future. Eligibility Must be in need of transitional housing and abide by program regulations to include either finding employment or completing some type of education training/school. Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees

Many transitional housing locations provide housing on a sliding scale basis. This is generally income based support that charges based on one's ability to pay. We find and list those resources.
