Arms Wide Open CDC provides transitional housing and referral/support services to the homeless who have disabilities. Arms Wide Open CDC (founded in 2000) is a {501(c)3} tax-exempt corporation specializing in home and community-based services. When people become frail due to age, accident, serious illness, injury or sickness, Arms Wide Open CDC helps them to live at home with dignity. The disabled man who needs a wheelchair; the chronic ill woman who needs a shower chair; the elderly woman who needs a walker; and the special needs girl who needs a portable ramp. Arms Wide Open CDC is here for them! Their number one objective is to help people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, without insurance or other means, to avoid nursing home placement.
