Assisi Bridge House is a residential halfway house for chemically dependent men. Men live in a community setting in which they can make a commitment to change. Every resident works on a monthly treatment plan that addresses their personal needs. Assisi Bridge House supports the 12-step program of AA and NA. Their staff includes licensed, master's level counselors who have many years of experience in treating addictions. They encourage family participation. The program usually lasts four to six months depending on the individual’s progress. Men who have successfully completed the ABH program are referred to the Independent Living Program (ILP), a transitional residential program. Louisiana residents may be eligible to have their fees paid fully or partially through Medicaid or South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority. Criteria: Must be male 18 years or older Have completed primary treatment within the past year Clean and sober for 30 days
