About Christian Community Action, Inc.

Christian Community Action, Inc. (CCA) is an ecumenical social service organization that expresses faithful witness by providing help, housing, and hope to those who are poor in New Haven. CCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Provide emergency housing, food, and a variety of support services, including case management, job search assistance programs, family counseling, and workshops, to families that are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  Success is due to the long line of skillful, patient, and determined people who have been willing to serve and support people in need. They are Board members, staff members, volunteers, directors, and friends. Hours: Monday - Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees
