The Inn Transition, established in 1990, provides a six-month sober-living transitional housing program to 8 families at a time (with one handicap accessible unit). As one of only two transitional housing programs in the state permitting homeless families to remain together when a parent is in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse, the Inn Transition serves families from the North Shore and Greater Boston areas. The program offers several support programs and services to help them in their recovery and self-sufficiency. Their program is co-ed and serves single male and female parent households, two parent households, and pregnant women. When there is a birth of a child or reunification, additional family member(s) are accommodated by adding beds to the unit or by moving the family to one of the larger units. A common fully-equipped kitchen, dining and multi-purpose area is located on the basement level for family meals and activities. The common area is at the center of their peer-focused model and fosters a community atmosphere where relationships are formed and parents develop positive social supports and care for the children as a community.

He also has a bad drinking problem...My brother is at Middleton House of Correction. If I bail hm out he needs a place to leave until he can live on his own again. I can bail him out, he needs a scram, gps device. He will probable still have to go to court for follow up sessions. I am looking for a place he can stay. He has no money, and is 62 years old.
