I am a domestic violence victim and i have a 1&1/2 yr old daughter with my abuser. There is currently a restraining order and they put him at a half way house that is not even 5 miles from my house. I do not feel safe living at home anymore because I don’t know if he is waiting down the street somewhere and I want to take my daughter and move but we have no where else to go so I was wondering about transitional housing.

I found it very upsetting that I went on Mondays for months, was finally told about path, didn't qualify because i could do my own paperwork/ applying etc. then when I mentioned path turndown I was given a caseworker who gave me a list of apartments. I had been doing that - looking - on my own. The list did NOT help as it said no evictions...which since I paid off.

I've been getting the runaround for 4 months. It takes me an hour and a half to get to this location( bus and train) and its WINTER, so its cold. This waiting game all just to get a screening. I got evicted in July 2018. Its Feb 2019. I'm still waiting to get help in finding a income based unit I dont have to wait YEARS for. Yes I have a job. 5yrs 4 months.
