About Elkhart County Women's Shelter

Elkhart County Women\'s Shelter provides shelter for women, with or without children  (boys up to 17years), escaping domestic violence. While in the shelter, clients receive food, housing, transportation, children\'s services, counseling, protective order assistance, and case management. Operated by Individuals and Families In Transition (IFIT).

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.
