I would NOT recommend this company for any recovering addict. My son died in one of these house, though Ken the manager was gracious and helpful, Ken would let me know when my son needed food or just looked "off." NO ONE else called me after my son passed. The manager living in the house, at one time LOCKED my son outside at 0200 wearing only shorts and a t-shirt because he decided my son shouldn't be out walking. He had PTSD and needed fresh air! While my son knocked on the windows and front door, the guy just sat in the living room watching tv and ignoring him!! The house is disgusting considering they have 6-8 people paying 450.00 a month. No A/C, my son shared a cramped, not ventilated attic space with another gentleman. Bedding, furniture and structure were disgusting. I understand this is better then living on the streets, but really?? It can be updated a little to make it look and feel more comfortable. I work in the medical field and compassion and support is what is needed with addicts...not judging, belittling and condemning. It has been 6 months since my sons death and STILL no communication at all from this company. I hope if you decide to live in one of these houses, that you have a better outcome then my son.
