About Middle Way House

Middle Way House, Inc. provides a transitional housing facility known as 'The Rise!' It provides help to low-income woman who are recovering from the impacts of domestic violence. It also helps them to secure permanent, safe and affordable housing. The rise! provides affordable housing for 28 poor homeless families headed by women who have experienced life threatening violence.  It is a complex of  two and three bedroom apartments that can accommodate almost any family size. All apartments come furnished with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and beds; dressers, sofas and other furnishings are available on a first-come, first-served basis.   Utilities are also furnished with tenants paying for telephone and cable.   The cost of housing is based on the tenants’ ability to pay.

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees
