About Oxford House Lake Street

Oxford House Lake Street is a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home. Oxford House Lake Street  is an all male facility. Oxford Houses are a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Every month the Oxford houses in the area get together to share their experiences in order to ensure that Oxford House Lake Street operates in a way that preserves the good name of Oxford House and encourages more experienced houses to help newer ones.  Residents pay rent, utility and other household expenses of Oxford House Lake Street. There are 7 beds in this self-supporting and drug free home. This self-supporting and drug free home is part of a larger nationwide nonprofit organization.

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.
