Our Family Services provides emergency shelter and rapid re-housing for families, couples and individuals experiencing homelessness. They help homeless and near-homeless youth finish high chool, secure employment, pursue higher education, and plan for an independent future.

Important Top Tips Before Applying

If you Interested in applying to Our Family Services, we recommend that you call them and find out some answers to some or all of the below questions:

  • What type of housing do you offer? Is it shared or private housing? Is it furnished or unfurnished?
  • What are the length of stay requirements? How long can I stay in the program?
  • What kind of support services do you offer? Do you offer job training, case management, or other support services to help me achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency?
  • What are the rules and policies? Are there any rules or policies that I need to be aware of, such as curfews, visitor restrictions, or substance abuse policies?
  • What is the cost of the program? Is there a monthly fee? Are there any other costs associated with the program?
  • Is the program accredited or licensed? This will help ensure that the program meets certain standards of quality.


In addition to these general questions, you may also want to ask more specific questions about the program, such as:
  • What is the staff-to-resident ratio? This will give you an idea of how much support you can expect from staff.
  • What is the success rate of the program? How many residents have gone on to achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency?
  • What are the cultural competency practices of the program? Is the program staffed by people who are culturally competent and able to meet the needs of a diverse range of residents?
  • How does the program ensure the safety and security of residents? What safety measures are in place?
  • What is the process for resolving disputes? Is there a clear and fair process for resolving disputes between residents and staff?

Hello my name is Bri. My boyfriend and I have been staying at a weekly rental that is about 300+ a week. We have used up all our savings. I am currently employed at postmates. So I have some income. My Fiancee and i are homeless we sleep sometimes in a motel. When i get to work. Things are slow. Sleeping in friends floors, cars etc. Just need help with finding house or voucher with motel on the nights i dont get to work. I get paid daily with my job and that's how we're able to stay at one sometimes.

Why is it I still haven't heard anything on and it's been almost a year but ppl who just need to take care of themselves and do drugs while getting free housing and have no kids and don't work get housing immediately .. we literally have been trying to do this on are own without help from programs but we are desperate I had a domestic violence situation in Feb me being the victim and again two weeks ago almost loosing my life ... And wanting to be in a safe place for my babies .. unhappy with this community program

I am currently in between homes. I was staying at a sober living but was forced to leave because I got behind a couple weeks rent. I was in the hospital for 3 and half weeks I got my job back but it took a couple weeks to back on the schedule.
