Oxford House Bye-Water is a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home. This facility accepts women and children only. Every Oxford house represents an effective and low cost method of preventing relapse. A representative of every House in the area meets with the others on a monthly basis, to share information, to seek resolution of problems in a particular House, and to express that Chapter's vote on larger issues. Residents pay rent, utility and other household expenses of Oxford House Bye-Water. This house accommodates 7 residents. Oxford House Bye-Water is part of a nonprofit corporation umbrella organization which provides the network connecting all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the Oxford House concept where needs arise.

There are men and women coming in and out of this house all hours of the night. We went to the website and ii is stated "for women and children only". We have been here for 2 years and until recently when the men moved in we had no problems. The men hang out with no shirts, pants well below the waist and foul language is a normal way of speaking. We are embarrassed to take our grandchildren into the front yard as we never know what may be seen or heard. We are asking for a copy of the rules for Oxford House. The people who inhabit this house appear to have no respect for their community.and especially themselves.
