REACH of Jackson County, Inc. was founded as a grassroots response to domestic violence and sexual assault in the rural Appalachian community.
Today they provide comprehensive services to families traumatized by violence.
Volunteers provide 24 hour hotline coverage, assist with the Thrift Store and operate the Community Table, a donation based restaurant.
An emergency shelter provide safe housing for up to 90 days.
Community education continues to be a key component of REACH's work.
Programs to let the public know who they are, what services they provide, and the tragic costs of family violence to the individual and to the community are ongoing.
Their goal to promote zero tolerance for domestic violence and sexual assault in the community.
