I am currently a resident at the North Tampa Real Recovery location and just want to say that I am very happy to be here. I have been here for a few weeks now and can say that if you are honestly trying to change your life for the better, this is the best atmosphere I could recommend. I have enough time and freedom to live my life and have my freedom, but am held accountable to attending meetings, gaining and holding employment, an ongoing relationship with a sponsor, and random drug and alcohol screens to keep me honest. The entire place is freshly re-furbished and is actually quite nice and comfortable, and the guys here are quickly becoming good and trusted friends to me. This is not a "flop-house" or just a place to crash, and people who do not take recovery or bettering their lives seriously are asked to leave. But if you are interested in really improving your life and remaining sober, it is a great place to foster the life skills, new friendships, and accountability which has been helping me so much. I hope this place can be for you what it is for me.
