The mission of Safe Place, Inc. is to break the cycle of violence and domestic abuse by providing crisis intervention, housing, counseling, and referral services for survivors, and to educate the community in order to prevent future abuse. To facilitate a coordinated community response to abused persons through networking with other service providers, the criminal justice system, elected officials, civic leaders, and policy makers. Safe Place provides different sheltering services such as emergency housing, supportive housing, case management, children's services, safety planning and transitional housing. Transitional housing includes a single family home where you can live with support services for an extended period. Subject to availability. Safe place currently has ten transitional homes in locations throughout Northwest Alabama.
