About Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center Inc

Encompass is a nonprofit organization with about 40 programs county-wide providing services in behavioral health, family and social well-being, early childhood education, housing, and more. They touch hundreds of lives in the community each year by providing access to: Housing Counseling for individuals, families and youth Substance use recovery programs Head Start and Pre-K Reentry services Health and financial services Hours Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm 

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.

Mission Statement: Encompass Community Services believes that health isn't just something we get at the doctor's office; it starts in our families, in our schools and workplaces, in our neighborhoods. We address the conditions in which people in our community live so that everyone has the benefit of a long, healthy life.

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees

Many transitional housing locations provide housing on a sliding scale basis. This is generally income based support that charges based on one's ability to pay. We find and list those resources.
