I am looking for transitional housing, after having fled domestic violence from my husband, 12 days after receiving a kidney transplant in Dallas. I must stay near the transplant center, so I am looking for housing in Dallas. The domestic violence from my husband has been ongoing for 4 years; however he spent my disability settlement so I had no funds to leave. Due to my critical condition following the transplant in May 2019, I was too fragile to endure the usual abuse, so I and my daughter fled. My daughter is 18 and has received scholarships and grants for college, which she will be leaving to attend August 17.
