Sober home for men. On any given night, it is estimated that almost 23,000 people are homeless in Washington State. The homeless population consists of people from all different walks of life and experiences. Compass House works with various organizations in the community and state of Washington to provide housing for veterans, ex-offenders and homeless men. Their goal is to provide a clean, quiet environment that allows the residents to get back on their feet and towards the road to success. They encourage positive changes in the lives of their residents by providing resources for personal growth, training on goal setting, finances, building a business and life skills training. They believe in order to combat homelessness they must be armed with the tools to succeed and help them to become contributing members of society. Their home is located on a quiet acre in rural Kitsap County and features a large family room and dining room, gym and mini farm with goats and chickens. It is a great place to start over. They believe everyone deserves a chance. What defines us is how well they rise after falling.
