Homeless

I have just been released from DOC in Florida and would like to come to NC to be close to my only family. I am 54 and On SSD though looking for supplimental work. I can get a ticket there, but need stable place to live for awhile. I am physically and mentally diagnosed and a survivor of domestic violence (3) and rape (2). I was in college before my arrest, in social and behavioral health.

Do you have to be on substance abuse to get help with housing through the women center, because I'm disable and on SSD, I'm on a public housing list which is a long wait.
