About Advent House

At Advent House Ministries they offer a host of services and programs designed to help the homeless and impoverished in the community succeed and thrive. Transitional housing. Employment readiness training. Nutritious food. Recreation and learning activities for children.

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.

Mission Statement: The mission of this program is to improve the daily lives of children and families through community engagement, recreation, and learning opportunities that build on the strengths of character and purpose gained in their experiences of working through poverty.

Faith-based Transitional Housing

Many religious organizations offer transitional housing at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify. We list these resources.

Government Subsidized

Through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, grants are provided to sober homes and transitional housing facilities for those who cannot afford alcohol and drug treatment.

Sliding-scale fees
