Search for Change provides housing and residential services in both Westchester and Putnam County. Search For Change support those working on their recovery from a serious mental illness with services specifically designed to promote self- sufficiency and independence. Search For Change 24 hour Supervised Community Residences and Supportive Apartment Treatment programs are licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Program participants are assisted in developing personalized recovery goals and treatment plans in accordance with the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation and the agencys recovery-oriented mission. This level of OMH treatment housing has shared living accommodations for 8-10 adults. Residents have access to staff for support 24 hours a day. Services provided are geared towards improving stability and enhancing individual independence.


Mission Statement: Search for Change is dedicated to improving the quality of life and increasing the self–sufficiency of individuals with emotional, social, and economic barriers. We teach the skills needed to choose, obtain and maintain desirable housing, meaningful employment, higher education and productive relationships with family and friends. Our programs and services are focused on individual choices, needs, interests and abilities.
